Lana Wordel, principal percussionist, performs and teaches across Indiana and Chicago
Lana travels from her home in Porter, Indiana, to perform with the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra as principal percussionist. Lana received her Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance from Northern Illinois University and is currently the principal percussionist for Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra as well as section percussionist with the South Bend Symphony Orchestra.
Lana is a member of LaSte' (a steel drum and viola duo) and PanGo steel drum band, and freelances in the Chicago area. She holds private lessons, teaches marching and front line percussion, and instructs large groups at numerous Illinois high schools.
