With the mission to strengthen communities through innovative, high-quality artistic experiences that entertain, inspire, and unite diverse audiences, Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra (WCO) prioritizes music education in Southern Wisconsin communities. The range of offerings includes the Young Artist Concerto Competition, youth concerts, family series, Side-by-Side program, Super Strings, WCOKiddos, and a variety of engaging at-home activities. Since 2006, WCO has collaborated with Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras' (WYSO) musicians in the Side by Side Project.


Super Strings

Super Strings offers free music lessons and mentorship to Madison area kids who otherwise would not have access to classical music instruction.

Young Artist Concerto Competition

YACC is a highly regarded competition in which Wisconsin's young instrumentalists compete for scholarships and the opportunity to perform as a soloist with WCO.


Youth Concerts

WCO's Youth Concerts immerse Madison students in classical music, integrating cross-curricular activities to meet educational standards in Music, Language Arts, Social Studies, and even Science.
