Super Strings works in partnership with community organizations to provide violin and cello lessons to Madison-area children who may not otherwise have access to music education. WCO musicians and educators teach our students on a weekly basis. Our goal is to cultivate life skills like problem-solving, a passion for learning, and confidence through strong mentor relationships using music as the context.

The curriculum covers fundamental instrument techniques, caring for instruments, bow handling, rhythmic practice, theory, and repertoire.

“Super Strings really fits the goal and educational mantra of what we are trying to do by getting instruments into the hands of young students who would otherwise not have an opportunity to do so.”
– Maestro Andrew Sewell
