Born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Victor was drawn to the double bass at a young age.

As his ambition exceeded his height, however, his parents had him take cello lessons instead. Having already made up his mind though, he took up the double bass as soon as he could get his hands on (and around) one. He received his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts where he studied with Paul Sharpe and performed as a member of the Winston-Salem Symphony, and has received his master’s degree from Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music where he studied with Andrew Raciti. Victor is also a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, the Quad-City Symphony Orchestra, and the Kalamazoo Symphony as the assistant principal double bass.

Outside of music, Victor enjoys reading books and playing video games, as well as steadily expanding his repertoire in home cooking - his current kitchen misadventures seeing him in the world of home bread making.
