Flutist Elizabeth Kleiber is an emerging artist active in orchestral, chamber, and solo performance. Based in the Minneapolis–St. Paul area, she serves as Second Flute and Piccolo with the Minnesota Opera Orchestra. In 2026, she will join the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra as Second Flute and Piccolo.
Elizabeth has appeared as a fellow with the National Repertory Orchestra in Breckenridge, CO and the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, CA.
As the winner of the 42nd James Pappoutsakis Competition, she presented the Fenwick Smith Tribute Recital in Boston’s historic Jordan Hall in 2022. Additional competition awards include first prize in the Schubert Club Scholarship Competition and the Thursday Musical Scholarship Competition.
In 2025, Elizabeth earned her Master of Music degree from Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music, where she studied with Marianne Gedigian. She also holds a Bachelor of Music (2023) from the New England Conservatory, where she studied under Cynthia Meyers, piccolo of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Her earlier teachers include Julia Bogorad-Kogan and Susie Kuniyoshi.
