Reed is a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he studied music composition and communications. He is excited to bring his love for the arts to the development team at the WCO and is passionate about engaging the Madison community through fundraising efforts.
Reed has been involved with orchestras for many years, having played violin in both the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras and his university ensemble. One of his favorite college experiences was hearing his own music performed and recorded by the orchestra. This gave him a deep appreciation for the effort and coordination required to bring a piece to life. In addition to composing and performing, Reed is passionate about music education. He taught piano and violin at both Monroe Street Arts Center and Hickory Hill Academy before joining the WCO.
In his spare time, Reed enjoys playing tennis, reading, hiking, and trivia with friends.
