Melissa completed her DMA at UW-Madison in 2025, where she studied viola performance and arts administration. An orchestral musician who is a member of the Madison Symphony and Quad City Symphony Orchestras, she loves being active in both the musical and administrative sides of symphonic organizations. Her interest in arts administration began while she was studying at the University of Delaware, where she worked in recruitment and admissions for the University of Delaware School of Music. Melissa has also enjoyed teaching strings in both private and group settings, working with a wide range of ages and levels. She is excited to join the WCO team in a role that combines her background in music, teaching, and administrative work.

In her free time, Melissa enjoys going on long walks with her dog, Ty, playing with her adorable new nephew, and exploring new coffee and bubble tea shops.
