Kristen joined the WCO as Librarian in February of 2024. She is an active freelance oboist and teacher in the Madison area and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Oboe Performance with a minor in Arts Administration at UW- Madison. She particularly enjoys collaborating with living composers and expanding traditional ideas of concert settings.
Her work in orchestral libraries began with a student librarian position for the St. Olaf College Orchestra and continued at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music as she pursued her Master’s degree. She is passionate about utilizing her library skills to serve musicians and support the artistry of the WCO.
When she is not playing oboe or working in the library, Kristen enjoys hiking, camping and traveling.
