Originally from Minneapolis, A.J. earned a B.S. in Mathematics from Augsburg University and has called Madison home for the past ten years. After volunteering with the WCO for two seasons, he is excited to officially join the organization in 2026 and continue supporting its outstanding musicians and mission.
He brings a broad range of professional experience to his role, most recently serving as a Health Unit Coordinator at UW Hospital. Throughout the COVID-19 crisis he worked closely with clinical teams, developing a deep respect for the dedication of healthcare professionals and strengthening his commitment to organization, communication, and teamwork in high-pressure environments.
His love for the arts began at a young age when his grandmother took him to orchestra concerts, theatre, and live shows throughout the Twin Cities. This early exposure led to years of involvement in percussion through school, college, and beyond. His experience includes recognition at regional and national levels highlighted by medal-winning performances within Minnesota Percussion Association, Drum Corps Associates, and Winter Guard International.
In his free time, A.J. likes to go on motorcycle rides, cook, and play with Cody’s dog, Trip.
