Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with a Concerts on the Square tradition! From the Star-Spangled Banner and Armed Forces Salute to the thunderous 1812 Overture and Stars and Stripes Forever, this program pairs patriotic favorites with contemporary American voices and spotlights Madison hip-hop artist Rob Dz. Table Reservations

Reserving a table at Concerts on the Square® is the perfect way to entertain clients, have fun with family and friends, show new Madison residents what our community has to offer, and support a Madison Summer tradition. Tables are available on a first come first serve basis so make sure to get yours fast!

Plan Your Visit

On concert days, blankets can be put down on the lawn unattended starting at 3 PM. The street will open at 5 PM and the concert begins at 7 PM. Attendees are invited to sample the many food vendors at Concerts on the Square each week. A full list of vendors is coming soon. RAIN CALL

The decision to continue or cancel a concert due to weather conditions will be made at 3 PM on concert days. The official announcement will be made on wcoconcerts.org and on the WCO’s Facebook and Instagram pages. An email will also be sent to WCO subscribers. If the concert is postponed at that time, it will be held the following day at 7 PM. If the concert is not postponed by 3 PM but is subsequently canceled due to poor weather conditions, that week’s concert will not be held or may be cut short.

About Rob Dz

Rob Dz is a musician, educator, and activist. He has performed with the likes of Nas, Eminem, Common, Talib Kweli, and others. As a Kennedy Center certified teaching artist, his primary residency focus is on Hip Hop, Personal Branding, and Spoken Word as positive forms of self-expression. As the Media Project Bubblerarian for Madison Public Library, Rob has held residencies with Madison youth in elementary, middle, and high schools, community centers, the Dane County Juvenile Detention Center, Neighborhood Intervention Program, and others. In 2017, he was inducted to both the American Folklife Center at the Library Of Congress and The National Museum of African American History and Culture as a member of The Story Corps program. He also founded the Mad Lit Summer Event Series that focuses on featuring and highlighting artists of color from the Madison area.
