WORT: Community Conversation with WCO’s Joe Loehnis

"Ava Borelli, host of the Thursday‑morning program Classical Jukebox, spoke with Joe Loehnis, CEO of the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, about the organization’s work to expand both local and national music partnerships, deepen community engagement, and diversify the backgrounds of the musicians onstage as well as the composers whose works are performed.

The fourth of five concerts in its Musical Landscapes in Color series, which performs and records the works of living Black American composers, takes place Friday, October 9, 2026. WCO Music Director, Maestro Andrew Sewell, will talk with Ava Borelli about the composers and works on that program–tune in Thursday, October 8, at 7 AM or check the WORT FM website.

More information about community engagement efforts and concert programming is at Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra website."
