Leanne League was a fellow at the New World Symphony as concertmaster

Leanne Kelso League is the assistant concertmaster of the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra and associate concertmaster of the Madison Symphony Orchestra. She also teaches at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and is a member of the Ancora String Quartet.

Leanne was a fellow at the New World Symphony under Michael Tilson Thomas for three seasons, where she served as concertmaster and principal second. During that time, she also performed at the Spoleto Festival dei Due Mondi in Italy for two summers.

Leanne enjoys playing the Baroque violin and has performed regularly with the Madison Bach Musicians, the Wisconsin Baroque Ensemble, and the Tallahassee Bach Parley. Leanne completed her Master of Music degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison studying with Vartan Manoogian and performing with the Strelow Graduate Quartet. Other major teachers include Harry Alshin, Lynn Blakeslee at the Eastman School of Music, and Karen Clarke at Florida State University.
