Suz Brewer, the marketing executive behind the Duluth Trading brand and former CMO and Chief Brand Officer for Madison-based EatStreet, has joined the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra as Chief Marketing Officer. Brewer began her work with the WCO in 2019 as the brand strategy consultant behind the rebrand of the orchestra that launched in May 2020.

“We are thrilled to bring on Suz Brewer as our next Chief Marketing Officer for the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra. In addition to leading our strategic brand overhaul and reboot during the 19/20 season, she has extensive industry experience driving rapid growth through brand development. Suz brings a level of insight about knowing and serving an audience that will be pivotal as the WCO continues to provide transformational experiences to our community through music during and beyond the current pandemic,“ says Joe Loehnis, CEO of the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra.

Brewer is the former Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Brand Officer of EatStreet, one of Wisconsin’s most successful tech start-ups, from 2016 to 2019. Prior, she served as Vice President of Marketing, Creative and E-Commerce at Duluth Trading Company from 2007 to 2016 as the chief storyteller, instigator of brand advertising and driver of Duluth Trading’s rapid growth as a brand with high national awareness. Duluth’s national ad campaign, launched in 2009 by Suz and Madison ad agency, Planet Propaganda, helped to shift the business model from cataloger to omni-channel retailer with stores across the US, resulting in a successful IPO in 2015.

“I’ve been lucky in my career to get to work on another brand of a lifetime. The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra means something to generations of families, to the Madison community I’ve called home for 30 years. To work alongside Andrew Sewell and his 34 world-class musicians is a privilege for a storyteller. It will be joyful work, bringing the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra closer to many more in our community,” says Brewer about her new role.
