The global COVID-19 pandemic has led to countless postponements and cancellations of music performances across the country. Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra musicians are seeing their future income disappear by the hour as we, too, postponed and cancel concerts. To help cover vital lost wages for WCO musicians, generous donors have begun contributing to a newly formed WCO Musician Relief Fund.

The WCO’s 34 core musicians make it a gem among orchestras, bringing the Concerts on the Square® and Masterworks series to our communities year after year. “These professional musicians are part of the heart and soul of the Madison community,” shares Joe Loehnis, CEO of the WCO. “Helping our musicians cover their lost wages through this fund is the right thing to do to make sure Madison’s arts community stays just as vibrant when we come out of this unprecedented time.”

To contribute to the new Musician Relief Fund, visit wcoconcerts.org/donate or contact the WCO staff at [email protected]. Your donation today provides vital support for WCO musicians during this uncertain time.
