The Young Artist Concerto Competition is a highly regarded competition in which Wisconsin’s young musicians in piano, string, woodwind, brass, and percussion, grades 9–12, compete for scholarships and the opportunity to perform as a soloist with the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra. Auditions are adjudicated by a small panel composed of the WCO Music Director and musicians, providing valuable professional development for aspiring musicians.

The competition takes place in January with applications due prior. The winner of the YACC will appear as a soloist with the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra and will receive the David Lewis Crosby Scholarship in the amount of $1,500. The runner-up will receive a $1,000 scholarship.
