The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra’s Super Strings program offers free violin lessons and mentorship to Madison-area kids who otherwise would not have access to classical music instruction.

Super Strings students learn both the basics of playing violin and life skills they need in school and beyond.

Through one-to-one lessons with an expert music educator, Super Strings students build perseverance in the face of challenges, problem-solving skills, and the confidence in their own ability to learn and grow.

Super Strings teacher Jane works with student Christianni one-to-one each week for lesson.

Thank you to the amazing partners who help bring Super Strings to kids in our community: The Lussier Community Education Center and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dane County.

“Super Strings really fits the goal and educational mantra of what we are trying to do by getting instruments into the hands of young students who would otherwise not have an opportunity to do so.”
– Maestro Andrew Sewell
